I would install the split-prism focusing screen and leave it at that the split-prism gives you a geometric reference for checking focus.Ĭhanging the focusing screen is easy.unlatch the viewfinder from the camera body and gently pry the screen up and out of the frame in the body, then lay the other screen in place and give it a gentle push to snap it into the frame.
